Why an Economy based on Kindness

The Need for a New Approach? I believe we are a bit overdue!

Given these challenges, it is evident that traditional economic models—whether based on physical commodities like land, gold and silver or the more modern fiat and digital systems—have inherent flaws. These systems often prioritise wealth accumulation and growth at the expense of social equity, environmental sustainability, and overall human well-being.

This history of economic issues highlights the need for a new approach—one that addresses the shortcomings of previous systems while fostering a more inclusive, sustainable, and humanistic economy. This is where the concept of an economy based on kindness comes into play.

The basic 12 steps that we study at the kindeco meetings are:

  1. Acknowledge the need for change in the current economic system.
  2. Foster collective effort based on ethics and respect.
  3. Commit to community and environmental betterment.
  4. Assess community needs and resources.
  5. Share findings and collaborate openly.
  6. Embrace ethical practices.
  7. Commit to continuous improvement and correction.
  8. Identify and support areas of need.
  9. Offer direct support without expecting returns.
  10. Evaluate impacts and correct missteps.
  11. Seek ongoing education and improvement.
  12. Spread the message of a kind economy.

In those meetings, we explore topics such as "The difference between humane, humanism, and humanistic", "Why investing in kindness matters" and "The impact of kindness on the economy." The goal is to help participants break free from outdated concepts and embrace new digital and virtual environments—what some of our Buddhist friends refer to as "MettaVerses." These ideas draw inspiration from ancient practices that thrived by prioritising kindness, offering a path to avoid the kind of planetary collapse we are witnessing today.

If you believe that kindness holds the power to prevent societal and environmental collapse, we invite you to join a Kindeco meeting or even start your own community. By engaging with others who share this vision, you can help create a more inclusive, sustainable, and humanistic economy—one that values collective well-being over mere wealth accumulation. Let’s work together to reimagine our economic future, rooted in compassion and ethical practices. - Contact us to get you started.
